'Ruby Parker Hits the Small Time’ by Rowan Coleman.
This book is about a 13 year old girl named Ruby Parker. She’s an actress and she plays the main character, Angel, in a TV show called Kensington heights. She attends the stage school and almost everyone in the school thinks they are too good for her and she only has one friend. Every day Ruby gets letters from her fans, some asking for advice about how to solve their problems because Angel’s problems were always solved. Ruby always replies what she would do. Suddenly Ruby’s parents split up, her dad moved out and she gets a letter about the same sort of situation and Ruby doesn’t know how to answer because she has no idea what to do too. And, one day she overhears a conversation which she thinks involves her being kicked off the show, she thought nothing is going to be the same for her again. Everyone thinks Ruby has the perfect life being a celebrity and every girl wants to be her, but no one really knows what Ruby is facing. This book explains that even stars have real life problems and it has a wonderful ending.
